Pronouns: she/her/hers
Mary (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adult individuals, specializing in complex trauma. She also has experience supporting clients navigating relationship challenges, neurodivergence, anxiety, and perfectionism. She is currently completing CCIH’s Trauma Fellowship.
Mary takes an integrative, person-centered approach to therapy, believing that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. She understands that healing looks different for everyone and does not view therapy as a one-size-fits-all process. She works collaboratively with clients to honor their identities, lived experiences, and strengths while supporting them in healing at their own pace. Mary draws from psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and somatic approaches to support individuals to better understand themselves and move toward their goals. Her style is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, and she uses humor when appropriate to create a space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
Mary earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University
and has experience in both community mental health and private practice settings. She
recognizes the profound impact that systemic and social forces can have on mental well-being
and welcomes conversations that explore and process those experiences.
