Professional Development Trauma-Informed Care

Somatic Experiencing Legacy Faculty, Dave Berger, MFT, PT, LCMHC, SEP will be in Evanston, IL to teach his BASE training (Relational Bodywork and Somatic Education) beginning March 6th, 2020. BASE is a relational touch training for trauma practitioners: Psychotherapists, Physical Therapists, Bodyworkers, Physicians, Nurses, Educators, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists.

BASE is recognized by the United States Association of Body Psychotherapy (USABP) as one of its official touch modalities.

BASE™: Relational Bodywork and Touch™ is a finessed attunement through physiological conversation with a client just like an infant and parent have.  BASE™ is founded on two primary pillars:  First, the relational dynamics between the practitioner and the client. The practitioner’s refined attuned touch supports a client in feeling met and ‘heard’.  This is accomplished via the second primary pillar—refined, attuned finessed touch of organs, tissues and structures of the body to bring them into greater coherence so sensory or interoceptive feedback to the brain is more regulated.

The training consists of 4 modules:

BASE 1: March 6-9, 2020 Relational Bodywork, Polyvagal Structure, Viscera and the Autonomic Nervous System

BASE 2: June 19-22, 2020 Social Engagement, Orienting and Trust

BASE 3: September 11-14, 2020 Bones, Cranium, Concussions and PTSD

BASE 4: December 4-7, 2020 Eyes, Joints, Somatic Relational Work, Sensory Motor Tools

All modules will be held at:

Osel Ling Mindrolling International

1818 Dempster

Evanston, IL

Space is limited
