In the CCIH Study Group, we have decided to read The Polyvagal Theory in Therapy: Engaging the Rhythm of Regulation for our next book together. The work of Stephen Porges has been fundamental to our growing understanding of the effects of trauma on our brains and central nervous systems. In her book Deb Dana takes this important work and integrates them into a way of working in the room with clients. She helps us wrestle with very complex concepts and translate them into a way of working with clients experientially. We will be hosting Engaging the Rhythm of Regulation: A Polyvagal Theory Guided Approach to Therapy in June and are looking forward to spending time exploring this book in preparation for our time with Deb Dana in person. Please join us on the fourth Thursday of the month, 12:10 pm-1:30 pm. Feel free to bring your lunch and participate in our lively discussion.
