Marie is a recent social work graduate with a decade of experience working in various social service settings. She is joining CCIH as a fellow to grow her skills in addressing the emotional, physical and spiritual consequences of traumatic experiences. She has worked for the past 6 years with survivors of political sanctioned torture arriving in Chicago from all over the world, providing care coordination, case management and individual psychotherapy. Her interests include integrated care, mindfulness, trauma informed care and vicarious and complex trauma work.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bike to ice cream shops, friend gatherings at the beach, quilting projects and lots of baking, plants and cat memes.
