Liza provides holistic therapy to people impacted by complex trauma, disrupted attachment relationships, societal marginalization and oppression, existential or spiritual concerns. She helps people who desire a greater sense of connection, meaning, and ease in life.
Liza’s approach to healing and psychotherapy is rooted in the belief that we each carry powerful internal sources of healing that are invaluable elements of the work of therapy. She envisions her relationship with clients in a nourishing context in which they can safely explore their experiences, cultivate self-awareness and self-compassion, and co-create processes of profound healing, personal freedom, and greater wholeness.
Liza partners with clients to develop a style of working together that meets their needs. Diverse approaches she incorporates into her practice are based in advanced training in relational dynamics, body-centered psychotherapy, and meditative therapies. She finds inspiration from ongoing studies in Internal Family Systems, clinical hypnosis, relational psychoanalysis, EMDR, Ayurvedic massage, Buddhist/Vedantic philosophy and meditation, shamanic healing, and movement and breathwork practices.
Her experience has been in ethnically diverse communities in the U.S., in South America, and in the queer, trans, gender expansive and gender nonconforming communities. Liza is bilingual in English and Spanish.
In addition, Liza also provides consultation to therapists regarding complex trauma and body-mind-spirit-based healing modalities, as well as deepening use of self for enhanced therapeutic presence and client growth.
