After successfully completing the Graduate-level Clinical Internship at CCIH, Evan proudly accepted a position as a Post-Graduate Fellow and later joined the team as a staff therapist. Evan believes that a strong and collaborative relationship between client and therapist is essential for the most effective treatment. He often utilizes mindfulness and meditation practices in his work with clients to foster presence of mind and body in the therapeutic setting and to build skills for better coping with the stress of daily life. Evan received his master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago. He has a diverse background that includes work in community mental health as well as work with adults and adolescents in outpatient settings.
Evan embraces an integrative approach to psychotherapy and is dedicated to working with clients to develop thoughtful and practical treatment plans designed to meet clients’ particular needs. He believes environment, social groups, culture, and relationships should be considered when working to understand clients’ life stories. From this understanding, Evan works with individuals, couples, and families to understand, strengthen, and reconfigure their lives in more useful, meaningful, and healthy ways.
